It's a sad ending to a story that deserved much more, but we must look back at all the things the Fnatic players and organisation added to Call of Duty 4 over its 4 years life span, rather than remember them for just this last event. The team's amazing performances at Outpost on Fire 3, The-eXperience '09 and Crossfire Intel Challenge 7 spring to mind most vigorously and that's the way I'll judge Fnatic's presence.


Statement - Stevy Verheyen:
An end to an era, that's what it is personally for me. I had an awesome time in Fnatic, To us winning our first event, to the 1 year of total domination as a team in call of duty 4. After our gamersject performance it felt like we were forcing things and couldn't really get back into it. I personally want to thank Anne and Neil for the awesome support we're received from day 1. I know I missed a lot of flights and I'm still very sorry for it haha . Fnatic was like a second home to me and I'm going to miss it, but I'm still going to keep playing and find a new team! Best of luck to the rest of the team in whatever they're going to do, lots of love to Neil, Anne and a big shout to all our sponsors RaidCall, MSI, SteelSeries and EIZO - thanks!

Statement - Johan Gärtner:
After a great weekend in Croatia unfortunatly the organisation decided to not support cod anymore, which i understand so there's no hard feelings at all. I've loved the short period of time i've had in the team and fnatic as an organisation, and i'd like to thank everyone in fnatic for their support especially Neil & Anne. After this decision from the management i've decided that i will retire. Who knows for how long. I might come back as a super fifa pro of doom one day, you never know. One of the reasons is that i dont have a PC any longer.

Over the years i've played cod4 i've had alot of fun playin with and against teams all over Europe. And those times i'll remember for a long time.

I'd like to thank Walkah & Xman over at TCM-Gaming for their amazing support and dedication to my old team and me when we played for them. Also a thanks to Arno who were the owner of insidiae who helped us attending TEX09. Without him we'd never become H2k & TCM and compete against the top teams and achieving so much in cod4. Thanks once again fnatic for the time. I just hoped it would be for a longer run, but nonetheless i appreciate everything they've done for me and my team.
